Unlike what its opponents often claim, infrared heating is well suited for use as central heating. However, there are some points to bear in mind:
1. The importance of insulation
The objects in your room that absorb heat also give it off. While poor insulation causes heat loss, good insulation helps save on your electricity bill. Use the calculator to work out exactly how much you can save.
2. The size of the space
Depending on the size of the room, you will need one or more units. One radiant heater can heat a room of up to 30 m², especially if this room is well insulated. If you choose panels, the same space often requires two panels.
3. The desired temperature
The type of infrared heater you choose naturally also depends on the desired temperature. Radiant heaters are suitable for areas that need to heat up quickly. Panels are great for use with constant, medium temperature.
